Introduction to Crime Writing workshop for Farnham Literary Festival @FarnhamLitFest @BBbookshop @bookouture @B_Lea_and_Hale

Have you ever wanted to write a crime story? I’m going to be running a workshop on Thursday 10th March, 2-4pm, at St Mark’s Church in Farnham, as part of the inaugural Farnham Literary Festival. Of course, I can’t teach everything there is to know in one workshop but we’ll look at the three most important ingredients for a story – plot, characters and setting. Come with a pen and a notepad as there’ll be some writing exercises to do. Plus, the most important thing of all – refreshments! Cost is £5 plus booking fee. If this sounds like something you’d like to try then click here to find out more and book tickets.

The festival is jam-packed with a variety of events and authors from different genres, running from the 5th-13th March. Sophie Hannah is part of the opening event for the festival. Crime is further represented with a panel with Anna Mazzola, Julia Crouch, Gytha Lodge and Christi Daughtery, and an interview with Mick Herron. Also, Suzanne Goldring, a fellow Bookouture author, will be there to talk about her publishing journey. Check out the website for more events and maybe I’ll see you at my workshop!
